Since ‘minorities’ can evoke controversy as to what we mean by it, ‘marginalisation’ as a process seems a better name for what we want to draw attention to. Marginalisation as a process affects both the content of what is studied in philosophy courses and the people who study or work in philosophy departments. Moreover, we do not want to paint a pessimistic view but will look for content and speakers that both analyse the problem and propose solutions.
